Courts and the Abolition Movement

On July 21, 2021, CRRJ hosted a workshop series event with Matthew Clair, Assistant Professor of Sociology and (by courtesy) Law at Stanford University, and Amanda Woog, Executive Director of Texas Fair Defense Project.

Dr. Clair and Ms. Woog described the histories and principles of abolition in relation to the criminal courts and specific abolitionist practices undertaken at the Texas Fair Defense Project. They are co-authors of the article “Courts and the Abolition Movement.”
