CRRJ Director, Professor Margaret Burnham, was a keynote speaker at the Bringing Human Rights Home Lawyers’ Network annual symposium, held on June 20, 2024, at the Fordham University School of Law.
The event — co-hosted by the Program on Human Rights and the Global Economy at Northeastern Law, the Center on Race, Law and Justice at Fordham Law, and the Leitner Center for International Law and Justice at Fordham Law — focused on Reparative Justice in the United States. Discussions addressed state and local initiatives for reparative justice in the US; creative tools for implementing reparative justice principles; and the next steps for reparative justice and human rights in the US.
Burnham was joined by Justin Hansford, Professor of Law and Executive Director of the Thurgood Marshall Civil Rights Center at the Howard University School of Law and member of the UN Permanent Forum on People of African Descent.
