This six credit course, open to law students and graduate students, includes (1) a seminar covering the legal, historical, and theoretical material that supports and orients the work of the student’s research endeavors; (2) a clinical element involving the investigation of racially motivated murders of African Americans in the Jim Crow South from 1930- 1970; (3) work with relatives of the victims to design and implement a restorative justice initiative for those impacted by the violence; and (4) a final essay or podcast for publication.
