On June 21, 1933, Henry “Pewee” Thomas, was killed by McKinley Jordan, Cliff Snider, Dave Mills, Douglas Mills and B.B. Mills in Americus, Georgia. Four of the men were charged with murder. Their trial began on December 18, 1933 and resulted in not guilty verdicts on all counts. B. B. Mills was charged as an accessory and was set to stand trial after the other four. In light of the acquittals, B.B. Mills’ case was dismissed pretrial.
